OCTOBER 4: NAMUR - MARCHE - BASTOGNE - LUXEMBOURG

Marche
Marche-en-Famenne
Sunday morning was cold and rainy, nevertheless all participants were happy to start this second trip. The hills of the Ardennes needed a lot of energy to be tackled, so most participants took advantage of the two charging stops provided. The small town of Marche-en-Famenne was still sleepy but showed its picturesque charm. The second location was on the main square of Bastogne, adjacent to a US tank displayed to remember the "Battle of the Bulge". Lots of spectators came to look to the vehicles.
The day ended in Luxembourg, where the participants were given a warm welcome by the city transit company and the national energy agency. They could visit the very interesting tramway museum, where a dinner with Luxembourg specialities was served. A very interesting experience was also a ride with one of the three hybrid buses which are being used in Luxembourg. Interesting discussions between the participants from different countries and the hosts rounded up this enjoyable evening.
